Test and Tension in Your Transition
⚠️ A Tempting Opportunity—Make the Right Choice & Continue with Courage ⚠️
G’Day dear Friend and Travel Buddy 💖🤩
I hope you are well.
This post might not be for everyone. But if you receive it as a letter in your mailbox, it's likely for you. You'll know it.
I am writing to you today because tomorrow is a special day in the Hebrew calendar, which is also important for us and our journey to the Promised Land. 🍇🥛🍯
We are in the Hebrew month of Av, the month of new beginnings and Believing Abba. It is also the month of decisions.
The Day of Decision
Tomorrow is the 13th of August in our calendar.
In the Hebrew calendar, it is the 9th of Av. On the 9th of Av, the spies returned with their news report of the Promised Land (Numbers 13). Although there were giants in the land, Joshua and Caleb believed in God and His Word and promise. They encouraged the Israelites to take the plunge and take possession of the land.
But the other spies were intimidated by the giants, brought a negative report to the people, and instilled fear.
The Israelites were faced with an important choice that would either lead them to their Promised Land or keep them stuck in the desert.
Unfortunately, they chose disbelief, doubt, and fear. They chose fear over faith.
They believed in the giants that seemed impossible to overcome instead of having faith in their God of the impossible.
Many of us on our way to the Promised Land face a similar decision and challenge this month.
Stand Firm and Hold on to His Promise
Some time ago, God challenged many of us to take a bold step, take a risk, and step out of our comfort zone. What He asked us to do may not make sense to our human minds and may even seem crazy. We had to let go of something, or a door was closed. We thought God would lead us into the new, but we still haven't seen and experienced it, which has triggered our doubts and fears.
"God, did I hear you right? Was it really you? Did I follow Your guidance?
Or did I fall for the devil?"
When our physical circumstances do not correspond to what God has promised us and His promise seems utterly impossible, it is incredibly challenging to keep our faith. But we must walk by faith and not by sight.
We must stand firm and hold on to His promise.
Transition’s Tension, Test and Tempting Opportunity
If you are like me, you are probably also experiencing enormous tension and are often overcome with doubts, fears, and unbelief.
You may be tested today, tomorrow, or in these days, just like the Israelites back then.
⚠️ You will receive an opportunity to go back to the old and into your comfort zone. It will be tempting and enticing because we long for comfort and rest in this tension of transition. We want to arrive and finally find relief.
Be aware that you are on the edge of your Promised Land! ⚠️
⚠️ What Will You Choose? ⚠️
Like the Israelites, you will be confronted with a choice:
Will you believe God, His Word, and promises, or unbelief and doubt?
Will you choose faith or fear?
Will you believe in the God of the impossible or the impossible giants and circumstances?
Will you continue towards the new or go back to the old?
Do you choose the uncomfortable path into the unknown that will lead you to your Promised Land or return to the comfort zone that will keep you in the desert?
⚠️ Choose God and Life ⚠️
As I have already written, Av is also a month of decisions.
It is now super important that we make the right, wise, and God-pleasing decisions and choose God's way. For this, we need wisdom and discernment.
We need our Abba Father, time with Him, and silence to make the right decisions and recognize God's guidance.
The 9th of Av is a Fasting Day.
If the Holy Spirit leads you to fast on this day, do it. Often, fasting helps us to be still and hear God better. If we spend time with Him, He will show us which paths to take. If we have made wrong decisions in the past, He will bring it into our awareness and guide us back to the right path.
Let’s choose God and Life!
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.Joshua 24:15, NIV
Together We Do Better 💕
Do not be afraid. God will show you the right way.
Keep praying, "Lord, not my will, but Your will be done! Teach me Your ways, show me Your plan, and lead me in Your paths!"
It is close to my heart that we all make it to our Promised Land. 💕
🙏 So let's pray for each other and close with a prayer for today: 🙏
Dear Heavenly Father, please help us know Your will and ways. Give us wisdom, discernment, and clarity. Help us make the right, God-pleasing decisions.
May Your highest divine will be accomplished in our lives—not our will, but Your will be done! Take away our doubts, fears, and unbelief and fill us with courage and Your dunamis power. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Let’s Celebrate and Continue Courageously 🎉
Av 9th is intended to be a day of celebration. Let's believe God's Word and Promises and continue advancing into our Promised Land. Ask God to show you your next steps and boldly take them.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9, NIV

I feel it to sister, the tension
It’s like white noise, static
I agree that this is a time that we are all facing in this season. The stretching, the waiting, the holding place until finally God let’s go and points us right in the direction He wants with acceleration. Amen sis 🙌🏼☺️❤️
